Mental Addition and Abstraction

The holidays are over, the large space consuming decorations have been put away, and now I'm finally going through all the tabs i opened and left in the last month. Was originally gonna have it all in one post but its better to group by topic, so this will be the random bits.

I put in a layout by myrtillenne and made another icon--its part of a stained glass window on display at the Chicago History Museum!

I wanna recommend Three Dark Crowns. I read it in 3 days (quicker than i've bothered getting through books recently) and really enjoyed it. I haven't been this into worldbuilding and a story since I read the Binti novellas.

The Niche has a great post of John Mulaney and Annamarie Tendler being extremely cute on their instagrams. which did put me in a good mood, so mission accomplished there.

And I keep listening to LP's album Heart to Mouth. Holy crap its so good.

I haven't actually had to set up an account anywhere in quite awhile, so now that I'm trying to set this up its like my brain can't remember what its trying to do. That, and I'm having vague lj flashbacks, even though I stopped using that nearly a decade ago.

Really hoping though that starting this move away from tumblr leads to me writing again. And making graphics. I haven't done either in I don't know how many years. The trouble is trying to get back into it. This is gonna be interesting.
